I was born and raised in Worcester, in the Webster Square area. I graduated from South High School and then Worcester State University with a degree in Psychology. I currently live in Auburn, and I am a high school math teacher in Worcester at North High School.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am married to my amazing wife, Rose and have two incredible boys, Eddie 3 and Alex 8 months.

Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
At 16, I started working at Shaw’s and spent about 16 years there. Additionally I worked as a bartender at multiple locations such as Loft 266 and Park Grill and Spirits. After Shaw’s, I went to work for Bank of America, in the Oxford location, then moved to the Grafton St. location. Just over two years ago, I decided to make the switch to become a teacher. I started taking the required tests, received an interview, and was hired as a math teacher in the summer of 2019. The best thing about what I do isn’t always about teaching the content but making connections with the students and helping teach them learn more about life and what they are capable of. I am also a part time bartender at Antonio’s Pizza on Chandler St.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Italy, it’s always somewhere I’ve wanted to go and visit. I want to experience the history and take it all in first hand. You can read about it in books, but it’s never the same until you actually are there and living it for yourself.

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Star Wars, all things Star Wars. The Mandalorian and Narcos are just a couple of my favorite tv shows.

What advice would you give to people?
Always be yourself. I know it’s cliche, but at the end of the day you are who you are. No need to pretend to be anyone else. If people don’t like you for who you are, maybe you need to find ones that do.

Getting to more baseball stadiums around the country. I’ve probably been to around 10 so far but want to get to others, and I could also see more of our country in the process

Long Island Hot Dog- I used to go there every Saturday morning with my mom and grandmother. Just brings me back.

If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Obama- He has been an inspiration to me since he came onto the national stage. He carries himself well, he’s well spoken, intelligent and also seems like someone I would like to have a conversation with. Also, I would like to hear about his presidency and what made him run for president and continue for a second term. I’d say we’d go to The Boynton.

What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Being a part of it, being lucky to be born here. Our community is so eclectic and unique in and of itself that it’s a pleasure and a privilege to be a part of it. Recently, it is transforming into a more inviting and lively community, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing changes that keep coming.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Teaching at North High and maybe moving up into an administrative role if it fits, but I love what I do and love where I am these days. Can’t wait to watch my boys grow up and become their own person.

(Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I can actually be kind of shy at some times. I seem outgoing all the time but sometimes in front of large crowds or gatherings I can freeze up. I overcome it most times, but something about being in front of a lot of people makes me a little nervous and shy.
