My name is Laura Marotta. I’m an artist, a non-profit Director, an activist, a model, and a rock climber.
Please tell us about your current career and what you love most about what you do?
Currently, I run a non-profit organization called Creative Hub Worcester. We make art accessible to everyone and try to get creative with everyone in the community. I love so many things about my job, but what I love most is facilitating and watching people discover their own creativity.
What is your favorite restaurant in Worcester, and what is your favorite dish?
This is a hard one! I love the calamari at Volturno.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel to Egypt if I could. I’ve always wanted to see the pyramids and experience the culture.
What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Not a band, but Doja Cat and Lizzo are always a good bet.
What is your best advice?
Make sure you have control of the steering wheel. We’ve got one opportunity to manifest whatever we want in this lifetime. Make it a good one.

I love dark humor.

You never stop meeting people who are motivated and excited to make a difference
