Central MA born and raised, I’m a social entrepreneur super passionate about empowering young leaders to live their best lives. I am also the proud mama of a 6-year-old sassy superstar who rocks my world every day.

Q: Please tell us about your current career and what you love most about what you do?
I am the Founder & CEO of Visions Internships, where we help social impact organizations grow sustainable internship programs. I’m kind of obsessed with blending leadership development and sustainable development, which is why we focus on supporting busy organizational leaders and purpose-driven young professionals who are helping people and/or our planet.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Worcester, and what is your favorite dish?
OK, Ed Hyder’s Mediterranean Marketplace is not exactly a restaurant, BUT, it’s still my favorite place to grab THE BEST Baba Ganoush in the Woo!

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve ever met?
Pretty sure that would be Jane Goodall… 2 days before 9/11, she told me personally in Vermont to Always Follow My Heart, no matter what is happening in the world. Thank you, Jane!

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
In this exact moment, I would travel to Aruba to surprise my mom who is on vacation celebrating her 75th birthday.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Leoni Torres, gracias a Ramon 😉

Q: What is your best advice?
Everywhere you go, there you are. When you know and love yourself, the rest will become clear. P.S. You will save yourself so much precious life energy when you realize you no longer need to understand other people’s behavior.

Q: What is one of the top three items on your Bucket List?
Get back into improvisational movement and generally dance more!

Q: What current/former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Worcester?
Do you guys remember the old Bijou Cinema? OMG flashbacks!

Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative with whom would you love to have lunch? Why?
Maya Angelou – I’d love to hear her speak her soul and laugh aloud… and share how she was able to laugh when she just wanted to cry.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Ahhh this is “that dreaded interview question” we used to prep people for! OK, OK — I see myself still based in Central MA doing community work, but speaking and traveling more as Visions Internships goes global, Woot!

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you, even your friends or family.
I have a bizarre form of Month Dyslexia (is that a thing?) where I consistently mix-up months that start with the same letter – for example, I say April when I mean August.. or June when I mean January.

Q: What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Massachusetts. My people. My bed. Haha

Q: If a motion picture was made of your life, what actor/actress would you choose to play you?
Cher the Chameleon. Expressive. Adaptable. Hard to pigeon-hole.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Worcester?
Living and working in Worcester for over 15 years made me fall in love with the people, the parks, and the possibility of a brighter world for all.

Q: What is your favorite smell?
Organic rose water – I spray it on my face every day!

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My daughter. Hands down.
