Please tell us about your current career and what you love most about what you do?
I am currently the head of a clinical research department. I love that my work makes it possible for people to live longer, healthier and spend more time with their families.
What is your favorite restaurant in Worcester, and what is your favorite dish?
Peppercorns! I love their chicken and broccoli.
Who is the most interesting person you’ve ever met?
The most interesting person I ever met was my grandfather, Alfonso Julien. He was fluent in English, French and conversational in Spanish due to time living in Panama. He was the most authentic person I ever met. He had so much life experience and enjoyed sharing it with me.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Grenada! I need to swim in the ocean and feel the sun on my skin.
What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
I don’t know if this counts but Lil Kim – Hardcore
What is your best advice?
Say what you mean. Mean what you say.
What is one of the top three items on your Bucket List?
Visiting South Africa. Competing in a powerlifting competition. Finishing my book.
What current/former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Worcester?
Reliable Maytag. It reminded me of the old Maytag commercials.
Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative with whom would you love to have lunch? Why?
James Baldwin. What would he have written next?
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Retired from corporate American and writing books in the Caribbean.
What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you, even your friends or family.
I’m afraid of escalators.

Family. Dorchester. Good food.

What is your favorite thing or something unique about Worcester?
All the green space. It’s like being in nature while still in the city.

Good food cooking.

My children and husband.
