I am a 22 year old born and raised in Worcester. I am an artist first and foremost, and since I can remember I’ve been writing and singing. I have been writing, releasing and performing my music since 13. On top of this, I do full time IT work for the City of Worcester.
Please tell us about your current career and what you love most about what you do?
What I love most about making music is seeing something start as a shred of an idea and turn into a fully fleshed out piece of art. The development and the process of making a song, a video or anything I do creatively is what makes me love it. When I first come up with a funny line or a cool melody, those are the moments I love most.
What is your favorite restaurant in Worcester, and what is your favorite dish?
Buffalo Chicken Pizza from the Boyton, and its not even close. I’ve been eating it for as long as I can remember.
Who is the most interesting person you’ve ever met?
My grandfather was the most interesting person I have ever met. In the short time I had with him, I always felt like I learned something new, or he changed my perspective on things.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
England, I have always been fascinated with the culture and history there.
What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
I know these aren’t bands, but recently my go to artists have been Remi Wolf and Jean Dawson. I have had both of their most recent albums on repeat.
What is your best advice?
Society’s expectations of you and who you should be shouldn’t stop you from being who you want to be. Do you.
What is one of the top three items on your Bucket List?
Performing at Madison Square Garden, writing and producing my own animated show and walk in fashion week.
What current/former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Worcester?
Regatta Deli, I have so many memories getting regatta subs as a kid.
Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative with whom would you love to have lunch? Why?
Its a toss up between John Carpenter and John Waters. They are my two favorite living directors, and people who are genuinely unique. As someone who loves a good story and the absurd, these would be people I would actually want to hear about their creative process.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully sustaining myself fully through music.
What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you, even your friends or family.
I do impressions way too often; its hard for me to get through one of my favorite shows or movies without impersonating, or trying to, all of the characters.
What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Cold, Comforting and Supportive.
If a motion picture was made of your life, what actor/actress would you choose to play you?
It would be Christian Bale, but only if a time machine was also in play.
What is your favorite thing or something unique about Worcester?
I have always thought it was cool that the smiley face was created here, and with a mother who was a history teacher here, that fact was drilled into my head as a kid.
What is your favorite smell?
Lavender smelling anything.
Who inspires you to be better?
My family, friends and partner all make me want to be the best person I can be. I am lucky to be surrounded by people who care about me and are genuinely good people.
