I was born and raised in Worcester and have lived here my whole life, except for one year when I moved closer to work. However, I came right back “home” and bought a house in Worcester.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have two sons, thirty and twenty-eight, who were also raised in Worcester. They attended the WPS system, graduated and went into college. Both of them have great jobs, marriages, and are living their best lives.

Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am a social worker for the state and love what I do. My role is an adoption social worker, and I find joy in helping children to find their forever homes, when they unfortunately, are not able to return to their biological parents.

What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Via, Scruffy Murphy’s, and Nancy Chang

How long have you lived or worked in our community?
All my life! I love my Worcester community and will probably never leave.

Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
There are so many!

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Italy! I have always wanted to visit the Vatican and be in the presence of the Pope. I want to experience this at least once in my life and be a part of my Italian heritage.

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My all time favorite movie is Gone with the Wind. Currently, my favorite TV show is the Chicago series.

What advice would you give to people?
Live life to the fullest, but to do this, you have to be intentional in making it happen.

What is something on your bucket list?
Run a marathon

What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Bon Jovi, of course

What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Polar, Widoff’s Bakery, Table Talk

If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Barack and Michelle Obama- The two of them are so amazing, down to earth and inspiring. Of course, I would love for them to taste Coney Island hot dogs and carve their names into the booth.

What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The Three Deckers!

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Nearing retirement and volunteering a lot more

(Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I have completed triathlons and half marathons.

What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Any beach on the East coast
