I always wanted to be a doctor. I also wanted to be a mother. I remember meeting my husband in medical school and having my son. I immediately found out that the odds were against me. That experience shaped my future goals and purpose. My husband and I worked together to build a life that gave us the balance we needed to bring fulfillment to our family. When I decided to set up my practice, I had a vision in mind to help families and bring back the “personal touch” to medicine. Little did I know that a pandemic would hit and my most vulnerable patients would struggle and even succumb to this virus.
Today, I think I’m looking into the future with maturity and resilience. My family, friends, staff and patients will be my pillars of support but I, in turn, will bring my energy to grow our community together.
