I was born and raised in Worcester, Ma by my mother who raised me and my brother as a single mother. I graduated from South High School and Becker College with an degree in Criminal Justice. I am married to my wife, Michelle, for 18 years and have two children. I have worked in the human service field for 25 plus years for the Department of Youth Services and am currently employed as a Social Worker. I have worked with children and families my whole career. I am also a volunteer coach for the Youth Baseball in Worcester Jessie Burkett as well as a coach for St. Paul High School in Worcester, MA. I am a strong advocate for unionized work. I am a member of SEIU local 509 and served as the Chief Steward in my office, and I am part of the Chapter Executive Board.

Please tell us about your current career and what you love most about what you do?
I am a social worker for the Department of Children and Families as the Area Resource Coordinator. I coordinate services for families along with providing placement for children in need. I love working as a social worker to provide the needed services to children and families in Worcester and surrounding towns.

What is your favorite restaurant in Worcester, and what is your favorite dish?
Peppercorns- Lobster chowder, and steak tips.

Who is the most interesting person you’ve ever met?
Have not met anyone too interesting

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
England- I would love to view the sites and see where the Royal family lives.

What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Black Crows

Hard work has never killed anyone

What is one of the top three items on your Bucket List?
Vacation in England and Paris, meet Michael Jordan, drive cross country

What current/former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Worcester?
I love the old Worcester Mall. I spent alot of time going there as a kid. Shopping at Filenes and Jordan Marsh

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Continue to work as Social worker and school committee member improving the lives of our children and families here in Worcester.
