My name is Terasha, but most people call me T. I have lived in Worcester most of my life. I have two amazing children. My oldest Jessiah is 19, and my youngest Jahyra is 12. I love going out to restaurants and trying new things. I also enjoy cooking and baking. I love to be outside in nature. I’m a very spiritual and intuitive person, and I enjoy helping others. I have been deemed the “therapist” of my friends and family which is part of what led me to become a tarot counselor. It brings me joy knowing I have the ability to connect with others and offer them compassion and understanding. Growing up in Worcester, I spent a lot of my childhood at Girls Inc. This is where I started gymnastics and competed up until age 16. I started as an assistant teacher and eventually became the director of the gymnastics program. I went on to coach at a few other gyms. I was the assistant coach of Wachusett Regional High School for many years. I coached cheerleading as well. I worked with the Worcester tech cheer team , as well as St. Mary’s and North High. I recently made a career change and brought my love of teaching into the classroom. I am now a full time preschool teacher. The career change allows me to spend more, much needed time at home with my family.

Q: Please tell us about your current career and what you love most about what you do?
I have been a gymnastics teacher , coach and choreographer for over 20 years. Recently I made a career change to become a preschool teacher. I still teach gymnastics on the side and choreograph floor routines as well. I am also a tarot counselor. I use tarot as a way to offer people support, guidance , and assist them on their healing and spiritually journeys. I do this virtually , on social media, and I offer in person sessions at Hidden Gem Beauty Studio on Grafton st. in Worcester. I have always loved teaching and coaching. Knowing that I have made an impact in someones life brings me so much joy. I picked up a tarot deck at the start of the pandemic just for fun and it just came very naturally to me.

Q: What is your best advice?
Meditate! We are all so busy , life can be stressful on many different levels. Taking the time to connect to yourself , and disconnect from everyone and everything else is absolutely one of the best ways to help you stay grounded and centered. Many people are intimidated by meditation but there are many ways to meditate and it gets easier with practice. Even just taking some nice deep breaths and sitting with some calming music for a few minutes at the start or end of your day can help your stress levels, make you feel more productive and energized or help you fall asleep easier.
